Diet Calls For Moderation, Balance & Beer
(CBS 11 News) Many people probably downed a few beers watching the Super Bowl. What would you say if you found out you could drink beer and lose weight?That's the premise behind a new weight loss plan for beer drinkers. Beer may be tasty, but it's also loaded with calories. For many dieters, it's off limits.Bradley Cailor, author of "The Beer Drinker's Diet," said you can have your drinks and diet too. He said he's living proof. "I lost 114 pounds," he said. Cailor was up to 266 pounds. Now he's down to 152. He says after trying and failing on dozens of diets, he finally found success with moderation, balance and beer.He said dieters should think about portion control. For example, he says you should drink a smaller sized beer than you would usually drink, or switch from regular to "lite" beer.
